Position Summary
The Inside Sales Representative II position combines aspects of inside sales with traditional customer service. Inside Sales responsibilities include developing customer quotes, qualifying leads, and monitoring opportunities while developing business relationships with assigned customers. Customer service responsibilities incorporates order maintenance, fielding customer inquiries, and advocating for a customer within a manufacturing environment. Combined, these responsibilities provide a customer with a complete service experience
Responsibilities
- Enter sales orders into the computer system and appropriately process special order requests, expedites, reschedules, and credit holds as necessary
- Work within company ERP system to enter new customer accounts; determine customer order status, product availability, proper pricing and special discounts; process customer credits; process price updates, and other tasks as required.
- Use company CRM to monitor in-house accounts and track quotations.
- Handle customer returns. Issue customers returned material authorization by collecting all pertinent information needed to make an assessment on the product being returned. Finalize and process a credit after product is received.
- Respond to telephone and e-mail inquiries from customers, distributors, and potential customers.
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to support customer and field requirements as required.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and engineering to manage and process technical, sample and new product requests from the field.
- Work with Marketing Manager to process requests for special pricing and new product pricing.
- Coordinate customer data, such as forecasts, with internal personnel to improve service to customers.
- Qualify sales leads generated through marketing activities through phone interviews with the potential customer.
Position Qualifications – Skills and Abilities
- 3 years of inside sales or customer service experience.
- Very organized with ability to work independently.
- Strong typing skills.
- Excellent phone skills and video conferencing capabilities.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
Other Requirements
- Associates degree a plus.
- Experience in providing customer service from a manufacturing company is a plus
- Ability to learn about our products and provide technical support is a plus.
- Experience with an operating system such as Oracle EBS or Syteline is a plus.
- Experience with a CRM such as Salesforce is a plus.
