Production Equipment & Building Maintenance Technician

World Class Manufacturer of hydraulic cartridge valves, custom hydraulic integrated circuits, and hydraulic and pneumatic in-line valves is looking for an energetic and committed individual.

This Production Maintenance & Building Technician performs preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment and systems. (e.g. mechanical, electrical). Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve efficiency, capability and yield. Perform equipment failure analysis(including preventive and unscheduled maintenance), Troubleshoot and diagnoses equipment problems.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the maintenance and repair of building and production equipment
  • Have electrical knowledge
  • Have the ability to read electrical schematics
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures
  • Perform routine building and equipment maintenance
  • Equipment may include various mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems
  • HVAC experience a plus
  • Maintain and update documentation and maintenance logs
  • Responsible for monitoring the facility and complying with all safety procedures and regulations
  • Checking and responding to security and safety issues
  • Operate various hand and power tools
  • Use equipment manuals, technical documents, internal and vendor resources to aid in the troubleshooting and repair of equipment
  • Undertake the sourcing and ordering of supplies, parts, cleaning supplies, and services
  • Be able to operate forklifts, man-lifts and other equipment while adhering to all safety measures
  • Perform some carpentry and painting as needed
  • Working knowledge of sensors, relays, switches and other electrical components
  • Repair, troubleshooting knowledge of production equipment such as lathes, CNC machines, screw machines, motors, pumps a plus
  • Perform general landscaping duties
  • Quote and manage 3rd party building and repair services

Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment desired
  • Experience with troubleshooting/repair of machining equipment a plus
  • Experience with troubleshooting/repair of Brown and Sharp or older cam driven equipment a plus
  • Knowledge of OSHA compliance standards
  • Be able to work over-time as needed.
  • Must work with proper PPE including safety glasses and steel toe shoes/boots.
  • Can pay attention to detail and follow work procedures and company policies.
