Honing Operator
Essential Duties
- 2nd shift operator to setup and operate honing equipment safely following all company policies
- Determine the proper tooling and equipment settings for honing components
- Be able to inspect and measure parts and make appropriate adjustments and settings to the equipment or tooling as needed to meet part requirements
- Be able to read part drawings and use the appropriate measuring devices such as air gages, micrometers, calipers and indicators in order to verify parts have met specifications
- Perform other duties assigned by department supervisor
- Follow all control and process plans
Job Requirements
- Some experience as a honing operator preferred but willing to train those with mechanical aptitude that has worked in a machining or manufacturing environment
- Be able to interpret part prints and understand dimensional tolerances and finishes
- May need to lift up to 40 lbs
- Can pay attention to detail and follow work procedures and company policies
- Ability to work overtime as needed base on demand
- Have basic math skills
- Must work with proper PPE including safety glasses and steel toe shoes/boots
Multi‐Spindle Operator/Setup Operator
Essential Duties
- Setup & Operate ACME/SNM multi‐spindle mechanical cam lathe
- Make machine adjustments and tool adjustments as needed to maintain productivity and quality requirements
- Be able to read and interpret dimensions & tolerances on part prints
- Be able to use basic measuring equipment to verify parts and submit for 1st piece approval such as micrometers, calipers, comparator, functional gages
- Follow all control and process plans
- Follow all company policy and safety rules
Job Requirements
- Basic math skills
- Basic knowledge of machining
- Worked in a machining or manufacturing environment
- Experience with setup and operations of machining equipment
- Highly motivated and conscious of quality and efficiency
