World Class Manufacturer of hydraulic cartridge valves, custom hydraulic integrated circuits, and hydraulic and pneumatic in-line valves is looking for an energetic and committed Quality Assurance Engineer.
This position reports directly to the Quality Manager and interacts with all levels of the organization. This position supports Deltrol’s efforts to exceed customers’ expectations by ensuring product conformance to requirements through supervising Deltrol’s inspection and supplier qualification processes.
Essential Functions:
- Able to initiate, analyze, and report quality-related data using statistical techniques.
- Collect, organize, monitor, and distribute information related to quality and process improvement functions, including but not limited to compliance with and documentation of quality management standards such as ISO 9001.
- Generate and distribute reports and report findings to designated persons in each appropriate department.
- Provide support to the Quality Manager, and act as backup as needed.
- Generate or revise department procedures as necessary.
- Conduct quality, supplier, and good manufacturing practice audits.
- Review of testing reports to ensure quality.
- Responsible for defining quality concepts and quality processes, including Six Sigma basics, cost of quality, etc.; applying quality tools, interpreting information and data, and applying team concepts as both a member and leader.
- Facilitate corrective actions as necessary.
- Responsible for applying the elements of the corrective action process, including root cause analysis, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and the control of nonconforming material.
- Create a safe work environment by adopting and following the Company safety manual and regulatory requirements. Reinforce positive safety actions while eliminating unsafe acts/programs, while escalating to management any concerns that need attention for the safe working of all associates.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field preferred.
- Current or prior pneumatic or hydraulic experience is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years- experience in a manufacturing facility.
